How To Learn Sign Language

“This is Me” The Greatest Showman – ASL

I’m not a stranger to the dark Hide away, they say ‘Cause we don’t want your broken parts I’ve learned to be ashamed of all my scars Run away, they say No one will love you as you are But I won’t let them break me down to dust I know that there’s a place for us For we are glorious When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I’m meant to be, this is me Look out ’cause here I come And I’m marching on to the beat I drum I’m not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: oooh oo ohhh oo* *Chorus: oooh oo ohhh oo* Another round of bullets hits my skin Well, fire away ’cause today, I won’t let the shame sink in We are bursting through the barricades And reaching for the sun (we are warriors) Yeah, that’s what we’ve become Won’t let them break me down to dust I know that there’s a place for us For we are glorious When the sharpest words wanna cut me down Gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I’m meant to be, this is me Look out ’cause here I come And I’m marching on to the beat I drum I’m not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: ooohhhh* *Chorus: oooh oo ohhh oo* *Chorus: oooh oo oooh oo oo* (This is me) *Chorus: ooohhhh* And I know that I deserve your love There’s nothing I’m not worthy of When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out This is brave, this is bruised This is who I’m meant to be, this is me Look out ’cause here I come And I’m marching on to the beat I drum I’m not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me *Chorus: ooohhhh* I’m gonna send a flood Gonna drown them out …this is me (exhale…) (exhale…)

  • just found this video and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a CODA and i showed this to my parents, it brought some tears to their eyes. they were so moved and uplifted by it, i couldn't begin to describe the elation they felt after watching you. overall fantastic job, can't wait to scrol through your channel and see more videos

  • Oh my GOD this is amazing. Idk how I'm just now seeing it, I've watched most of your Hamilton covers already! I don't know ASL but I know that most signs aren't very iconic, yet this cover in particular feels so highly connected between the visuals and the meaning! Idk how much of that is your choice of signs vs just your expressiveness, but either way it's so emotionally powerful.

  • Sarah, if anyone out there were trying to make you feel bad someday, I want you to know something. You are just perfect the way you are. You are beautiful enough if you even think no one's like you but that's okay because the truth, no one is perfect. So one day, when you wake up and you ever feel you don't deserve to be in this world, there are about a million people outside there who feels the same. So, be the one who always proud of yourself just like you in this video. I'm feel happy to see people likes you happy.

  • Hello, the spirit of the morning, introduce me Sugihartatik mother from Indonesia, I love your expression, Allah created us accompanied by shortcomings, but Allah also gives us advantages because we are all instruments for God to bring prosperity on earth with the advantages we have.

and actually a deficiency that we have is an encouragement for us to continue to look for the advantages for balance in life. and let other people cheat on our shortcomings, because that is not important. but we can use the scorn as a vitamin for us to keep going forward

and prove to the world that we can

  • Hello Sarah, I don't know how I missed out on this awesome rendition of one most awesome songs (and meaningful to so many, myself included). I was already a fan of your HAMILTON renditions and now I'm an even bigger fan.

  • Of course your signing is gorgeous! But all i think about it how rockin your arms are and how i wish my lats (latissimus dorsi muscles) looked like yours.

  • Hi this is awesome and you are a beautiful woman. Thank goodness I found this. I watch these to help me with my ASL

  • It makes me sad to think that people are rude to other people about their naturalities. Dont listen to them girl! Be yourself! Have z blessed day.

  • Heck ya, I love this so much. It's so damn amazing n beautiful, ur wonderful n a beautiful lady… ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  • I LOVE this…. I have almost the same scars adn I work with children as a school bus driver adn a substitute teacher. When I first get new students; especial middle school students, they have no filter and will make fun of me. My scars are from my time in the service. I have no upper left lip and left cheek is "puffier" then the right (much like the beautiful little girl at the :05 mark). I have a permanent "snarl to my left. but once the kids get to know me, they want no other driver or substitute. They become blind to the scars, but there are always new kids. I've been learning ASL as I often work with SPED children adn it's been fun teaching kids some basic sign like "I'll See you later.", "Good Morning." "How are you today?", etc. I have to learn this so I can perform it for them maybe… In any case, you already know you are beautiful, but I know it's not always easy when people only see scars. When I was in High School, and younger, the girls all chased me and I was VERY popular, now that I am scared, it's not easy when someone points and whispers, or openly scoffs. Thank you for this video.

  • Are you going to adopt me please please do you want to adopt me I’m going to cry if you don’t adopt me I’m just a orphan and I need you to be my mom can I come to your house and live with you please please

  • Keep it up. I love American Sign Language when I went to school. It was something that I want to communicate with my family. I LOVE THE MESSAGE YOU said. I'm glad you found who you are and purpose. I'm so happy for you and this is sincere. 🙂 Have a nice day!^^^:D

  • I love how you showed clips and pictures to show how you looked in these past few years, and I almost cried on how brave you looked

  • no apologies…I'm from the hearing world…family in the music biz…….you, Amber, Molly, Azora take me to CHURCH…josephdfreda….I did the hair for "Talk To The Hands"……(capt smart-ass got it)

  • This explains that no matter how you are, what disease you have, what sickness you have, what anything you can have, you can still make your dreams and goals. You can STILL MAKE MUSIC. YOU CAN STILL TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS. I have someone that cannot hear (deaf.) and i can communicate. I know a little bit. Also, some can lip read and some have hearing aids. No matter WHAT you have, you can still enjoy your goals. Sarah Tubert, you are so inspiring. My teacher showed you since we were learning sign language although you are amazing. Keep it uup!
