Signing Savvy comes with a number of precompiled word
lists to help you build your sign vocabulary. In the Browse Signs box at the top, beyond
the Browse by Letter and Fingerspelling option… You can see there are Numbers, Colors, Animals, US States, World
Geography, Baby Signs, and Shared and My Word Lists. Let’s go into Colors. The result is the colors word list. If I scroll down here you can see the list sorted alphabetically. So we can see BLACK, BLUE, BROWN, all colors. And then we can see words related to colors such as COLOR
itself, DARK, more colors, GRAY and GREEN, LIGHT, and so on. And then we can see words related to colors such as COLOR
itself, DARK, more colors, GRAY and GREEN, LIGHT, and so on. If I want to look at any of these words, I simply
just click on it and I get the resulting sign. Once I am within the sign, you can see I am still within the COLORS
word list and I can page to the next sign and see ORANGE. Page again to the next sign and see PINK. Or I can click on VIEW LIST to return to the word list. At the top of the word list, notice these Member Options. One thing that I can do is Practice with Flash Cards, I can Create a Quiz
to test myself using this word list, or I can View All the Signs together. Each of these features are explained in other videos. Let’s look at one other precompiled word list. I will click on US States. This word list is a little different in that at the top it actually
has a map of the states, which I can rollover and click on. I will click on, for example MINNESOTA, and the sign for MINNESOTA comes up. Let me click the back arrow in the browser. And I will scroll down, and you can see, that the states are also listed in
Alphabetical order as they were in the other word list we just looked at. And there are several other word lists available in the Browse Sign box. Including Shared Word Lists and word lists that you create yourself called
My Word Lists, which are both explained in another video.
