Hello everyone. Welcome to Sign1News. My name is Crystal Cousineau. Here top stories for today. Wednesday marks the 18th anniversary of 9/11. On September 11, 2001 hijackers took control
of four commercial airplanes and crashed them into the World Trade Center buildings, the
Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. Take a look at this video of the Twin Towers collapsing. 18 years ago on this tragic day nearly 3,000 people died. Now 18 years later people are remembering
those who lost their lives. Here are a few ways victims were honored Wednesday. In New York and at the Pentagon names of 9/11
victims were read aloud. Moments of silence were also held around the
nation in remembrance of the victims. A new law was even passed in New York where
public schools will have a brief moment of silence every September 11 at the beginning
of school. The law went into effect immediately, so students were able to observe the moment of silence Wednesday. Also President Trump and First Lady Melania
Trump layed a wreath at the Pentagon in remembrance of 9/11 victims. According to authorities in Florida a teenager
charged with trying to have her parents killed has been arrested. Alyssa Hatcher paid people to kill her parents
and stole nearly $1,500 from her parents to carry out the plot. She paid a friend $400, but the crime was
never carried out. Authorities say Hatcher then paid another
$900 to another individual to finish the job. Her parents were not hurt. The parents have pressed charges against their
daughter. Here’s your awww moment of the day. Take a look at this adorable video. Three-year-old Makai Simmons was stuck in
the Bahamas when hurricane Dorian hit. He went back to school Monday and his friends
welcomed him with big hugs. The little boy and his mom Capron were visiting
family in the Bahamas when the storm hit. They stayed in Capron’s grandparents’ house
during the storm. The family survived but the home was flooded. On Friday Capron and Makai were able to get
on a cruise ship back to the U.S after waiting 13 hours in line. While the journey was long, clearly Simmons
classmates missed him while he was gone. Apple fans rejoice! The tech giant has unveiled the newest generation

section on its redesigned menu at all of its 7,000 U.S locations. It will highlight two meatless items Taco
Bell is introducing, as well as existing options. The chain will also mark vegetarian items
placed elsewhere on the menu with a green emblem showing its American Vegetarian Association
