I also started ASL last week, and have found this and your alphabet video useful so far. I will be looking for more of your videos as I learn more this year. Thank you!
I decided to learn ASL so I could talk to a deaf girl in my class because not many people can communicate with her without an interpreter. Your videos are a great help (: xx
Hi. Thank you for sharing this. What is the difference between signing the letter F and the number 9? I'm new at this, so I might be wrong in thinking they appear very similar. Thanks! 🙂
This is great! I started learning ASL yesterday and already know how to hold a steady conversation. I really needed help with numbers and this was a big help
Question, when the numbers get in the the teens, for example, number 16, I have seen people make the number 6, and shake it twice, if that makes sense. Is the way I described acceptable?
God damn it. you should post the number you're signing. after I rewound about 30 seconds at the end..I had no idea what number you were showing us. I'd have to rewind all the way to beginning to count up again smh. am I right, you guys? come on, tell me I'm right. I know I'm not the only one.
This is so helpful! I am starting ASL classes next semester in hopes of becoming an interpreter! Your videos give me some basic knowledge for when I go into the classes. Thanks so much!
As I watched this I made a story about the numbers 13 to 25 in my head, it's not supposed to be offensive. It includes some offensive language, so beware. Remove it if it's too inappropriate.
13: Hey, come here… 14: We have to talk about… money. 15: Come closer, let me tell you about the… 16: 3 grand you owe me! 17: You know what the mob does if you don't pay. I may cut your ring finger… 18: or your middle finger… 19: or your index finger. 20: And I may pinch your nipples as well! 21: Or do you want to meet my gun? 22: Don't think of attacking me, I'll poke your eyes… and poke them again before you can get up. 23: So, bye for now… 24: loser. I give you four more days! 25: Bring the money or you're ****ed.
Your videos are great. I am hearing and am learning ASL as a second language. I am a member older student (late 50's) and don't have access to many other people who sign especially my age. Once I determine an area/subject I am having difficulties with, your videos help a lot. Thanks for all you are doing.
Love the idea of simultaneous views, but it would be helpful to see what you're signing on screen as well. For beginners, it is easy to lose count and suddenly I'm learning the wrong sign for the number. (Same for the alphabet, btw.)
I had my first ASL class and the way the teacher was explaining it was so confusing. She was like "flick these" "bounce these" "shake these". this made it so much clearer!!!!!!
I'm taking an ASL class, I plan on taking ASL throughout my four years of HS, then on going to Gallaudet university and later on becoming an interpreter… (:
My family just spells out numbers greater than 11–which is a hell of alot easier to read particularly for larger numbers. We already do that for years–the idea of new signs past 10 is silly.
Start class today at college, so will be watching about of your videos to help learn
Great vídeo!! Now 40-100 would be great!!!!
Your videos are such a big help to me. I just started ASL 2 days ago and I have learned a lot since watching your vids. Great work!

This really helped me study, thanks for posting! The smile and nod at the end helped make me feel like I did a good job.
This helped me soooooo much, thank you.
Perfect. Nice and slow and very clear.
There should have at least been titles.
Does Australia have the same sign language than America
What's the difference between number 9 and the alphabet F? help please
so basically I can swear at somebody by giving them the V-sign and get away with it by saying I'm just practicing my ASL

1-15 helped
20-25 are going to be tricky for me to learn.
it needs subtitle to know which number are you talking about
I love these videos but are there captions because they can be a little hard to follow along
So in The Matrix, when Morpheus was gesturing toward Neo in the sparring program, he was actually saying "fifteen".
when you wiggle your fingers back and forth such as in 11-15 does it matter how many times they go back and forth?
this was a lifesaver thanks
This was hard.

would be helpful if the numbers were on the screen; I kept getting mixed up about what number you were on! besides that very helpful video 🙂
pls give titles…
Thanks

I'm starting to learn a little sign language in my school
I was teacher showed me how to do the numbers but for the life of my I could not remember 10
im taking sign language in school and my teacher told me 2 watch this vid as hw! i love sign language and this is the best hw ever!
So pretty different than DGS, interesting, thanks
Confused, please help. In ages the numbers 1-5 are facing front. Why isn't 1-5 facing backwards in ages or in other instances?
Thank you for videos Iam from Azerbaijan
I can see how there could be some confusion with the sign for 15
0:41 That one is for the ladies.
'
ASL turn hand forward…
not toward face
its so hard
Is it okay to just just sign the numbers separately. Like instead of signing "15" can you sign "1" then "5"
Could somebody explain to me what was the difference between 23 and 25? They looked the same to me
Thank you so much for your videos. These ones have been useful to me specially because I am a beginner.
Errado
I got lost after 10
Taking ASL I on a summer 8 week sesh at a community college and I like it!! But it's challenging for me!!
I had my first ASL class and the way the teacher was explaining it was so confusing. She was like "flick these" "bounce these" "shake these". this made it so much clearer!!!!!!
Could not understand difference between 23 and 25
makes my fingers hurt a bit lol
3 makes me scream because it hurts to do
I'm taking an ASL class, I plan on taking ASL throughout my four years of HS, then on going to Gallaudet university and later on becoming an interpreter… (:
The chilled video ever
I got lost on what number i was on……
0:33
Got em bois 👌👌👌👌
I do 16-19 differently. Simply give a shake to the correspondent single-digit number.
Thanks for letting me know that
Fascinating
Great guide thank you!
This is great, I wish I could see the numbers written near the hands so I don't get lost, but this is still helpful
My family just spells out numbers greater than 11–which is a hell of alot easier to read particularly for larger numbers. We already do that for years–the idea of new signs past 10 is silly.
thx man …
What's the difference between "9" and "f" in asl?
Is there a specific number of times to bend your fingers/wrist for the numbers requiring movement?
😰? Brazil. 😄! USA l love😍 kiss💞
13 seems familiar to me lol
15 what the fuck
Nicely done
Now that's very amazing how you actually do that
