News24 – Solskjaer’s classy gesture that was missed by cameras


 Manchester United had a night to forget against Wolves on Tuesday.  But for some youngsters, it proved an unforgettable evening thanks to a classy gesture from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer  The Norwegian boss took some time out of his busy preparations before the game to speak to and sign autographs for the matchday mascots at Molineux   The classy gesture was reported on Twitter by a member of the Wolves media team, Jack Walker, as he praised the Manchester United boss for giving the kids a “special” night  One fan responded saying Solskjaer seems like a “thoroughly decent bloke” with another adding he’s a “class act”  Despite seeing their top four hopes dealt a blow in the West Midlands, Solskjaer’s appointment as permanent United boss has been popular in Manchester  The likeable Scandinavian was a fans’ favourite during his playing days and has transformed their fortunes since Jose Mourinho’s December sacking  His latest gesture shows just why he’s held in such high regard by fans at Old Trafford and is a highly respected figure within the game  He remained pleased with his side despite their Wolves defeat as he was left frustrated by missed chances and mistakes at big moments  “We didn’t pounce on big moments in the game,” Solskjaer told BBC Sport.  “Scott McTominay played really well tonight, he’s been excellent He gave us a goal threat, energy and legs – very pleased with him.  “There’s a couple of mistakes from us We gave them that first goal, we have to be honest.  “Very disappointed with the result but pleased with the performance up until 75 mins An excellent performance from the boys.”   Solskjaer will lead United into Champions League action against Barcelona at Old Trafford on Wednesday
