Muslim Board Petitions To Review Ayodhya Verdict
November 19, 2019
The Supreme Court (SC) had ordered for the Babri Masjid land to be given to the Hindus. The SC ordered the Central Government to form a trust and they will manage the building of the temple. The SC had given Muslims 5-acres land. An association called the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) said they are not at all happy with the SC’s decision. Yesterday on 17th November, after a meeting the President of the AIMPLB filed a petition. The President said that the SC will reject the petition. But it is their right to file a petition. The Sunni Waqf Board has accepted to follow the SC’s verdict. They have accepted the SC’s five acre land verdict as well. Board Chairman Zafar Farooqui had said that they respect the verdict and will not file a review petition.
