A – make a fist, keep your thumb on the side of all of your fingers. B – flat hand, put your thumb over your palm. C – looks just like a “C” D – looks just like a “D” E – curl your fingers, curl your thumb sometimes you’ll see “E” like this, sometimes you’ll see it like this. I kind of do it in the middle. F – is like OK. F G – is like you’re pick something up or pinch it with these 2 fingers but you turn it this way. G. H – you put 2 fingers out. I – is with just your pinky. J – you make a “J” with your pinky in the air. J K – Peace sign, put your thumb on your middle finger. K This is a hard one. Peace sign, thumb on your middle finger. L – looks just like an L. M – it’s like “I got your nose!” but you do it here. You have 3 humps kind of like an M. N – you just move it over. So, you only have the 2 humps. O – Looks just like an O. P – Make your K (Peace sign, put your thumb on your middle finger, turn upside down. P That’s a hard one, too. K…P…K…P… Q – It’s like you’re going to pick something up this way. Q. Remember G? Q. R – Cross your middle finger over your index finger. R. S – Is just a fist. Keep your thumb over all of your fingers. Remember this is A, so there’s a difference between “A” and “S”. It’s a common mistake between the 2 when you’re learning ASL. T – is “I got your nose!” T So, you have M, N, T. U – like scout’s honor. V W – Now this is W, it’s not 3. 3 is like this, this is W. That’s a common mistake as well. X – Make your index finger crooked or bent over. X Y – Like “hang 10” Z – Index finger, draw a Z in the air. It should look like a “Z” to you when you’re drawing it in the air. Some people will do W, X, Y, Z with their pinky, but that’s a big no-no! With your index finger. Z A, B, C, D E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z Practice on both hands!
