How To Learn Sign Language

I Am Not Alone by Kari Jobe in Sign Language and CC

When I walk through deep waters I know that you will be with me When I’m standing in the fire
I will not be overcome Through the valley of the shadow
Oh I will not fear I am not alone
I am not alone You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone. You will go before me
You will never leave me In the midst of deep sorrow I see your light is breaking through The dark night will not over take me I am pressing into You Lord you fight my every battle And I will not fear I am not alone. I am not alone You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone You will go before me
You will never leave me You amaze me Redeem me You call me as your own You amaze me Redeem me You call me as your own You amaze me Redeem me You call me as your own You amaze me Redeem me You call me as your own You’re my strength
You’re my defender You’re my refuge in the storm Through these trials
You have always been faithful You bring healing to my soul I am not alone. I am not alone You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone. You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone. You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone. You will go before me
You will never leave me I am not alone. I am not alone. You will go before me
You will never leave me

  • Sara, this is so beautiful. I have such a passion for this song and for sign language! I took a course of ASL in University and am pretty rusty, but I try to practice every now and then! It still is so beautiful to me… sign and this music combined just melted my heart πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing this, please make more! πŸ™‚

  • You def have heart but this isn't grammatically correct ASL. This is signed english which is not a language and never has been. So please if you want to actually translate learn ASL and it's grammar and structure just like you would with any other language. None of your signed english makes sense. No signed english is not a form of self expression.

  • thank you for doing these videos. it takes courage to record yourself and post it publicly. you are signing from your heart and sharing with people from your heart. that is a good thing and should be encouraged i believe. i pray for God to bless your heart and things you do. i do believe there is a place for signed English. it is a stepping stone in communications. i am trying to learn ASL but i dont think one person in my church knows ASL. Signed English is a bridge, it is easier for people to learn initially and broaden their communications, and as they gain more signs they often start trying to learn ASL. but it is harder as it is a whole nother language. signed english or international sign language is also useful in bridging communications with people learning english and other languages. in my church we have several people that speak French and Spanish. i teach in preschool. we learn a few simple signs for basic words/ objects and then the english/ Spanish/ french word for that thing. the signs can help the kids associate the thing so we know what they are talking about as they learn the words in the other languages. signed english may not be an official language but i find it extremely useful. trying to increase communication is a good thing. and should be encouraged. there are stepping stones. also i know people that lost their hearing late in life and dont know ASL and are having a hard time learning it who really appreciate signed English. we can adapt for different people. communication from the heart is what is important. signed english also helps to decrease frustration in children with special needs who have learning and speech delays. it helps them get their needs and desires across now and work on the words later.

  • Sara this is beautiful. Is there a way for us to communicate via email? Do you have a video to the song "Yes and Amen" by Chris Tomlin? I used to sign worship years ago and am picking it up again. Your help would is appreciated. ~ In Him πŸ™‚

  • thank you for posting these because i know people that lost their hearing later in life and do not understand ASL. they learned signed english. which may not technicly be a language, but it is how they communicate. and they were looking for some signed english videos. the ASL is too confusing for them. they are having a hard time with it.(they are senior citizens) i have seen people post comments on the ASL videos that they are too confusing and not understandable to them. so i say, its great that both are being posted. some are posting ASL and some are posting signed english. both are being used by different people. the point is that they are being ministered too. that they can enjoy these beautiful worship songs and have heart time with God. that is what is important to me.

  • I first heard this song in 2012 on my first of seven brain surgeries for epilepsy. I KNOW I’m not alone and it was a tough lesson, but we’re not. Praise God!
