Hands Open (Snow Patrol) in Irish Sign Language performed by DIT Sign Soc & DIT Guitar Soc

It’s hard to argue when
you won’t stop making sense my tongue still misbehaves and it
keeps digging my own grave with my Hands open, and my eyes open
I just keep hoping That your heart opens Why would I sabotage
the best thing that I have Well, it makes it easier to know
exactly what I want with my… Hands open and my eyes open
I just keep hoping that your heart opens It’s not as easy as willing it all to be right
Gotta be more than hoping it’s right I wanna hear you laugh like you really mean
it Collapse into me, tired with joy Put Sufjan Stevens on
and we’ll play your favorite song “Chicago” bursts to life and your
sweet smile remembers you, my Hands open, and my eyes open
I just keep hoping That your heart opens It’s not as easy as willing it all to be right
Gotta be more than hoping it’s right I wanna hear you laugh like you really mean
it Collapse into me, tired with joy It’s not as easy as willing it all to be right
Gotta be more than hoping it’s right I wanna hear you laugh like you really mean
it Collapse into me, tired with joy

  • I have to confess I found the part where he tried to finger spell "Sufjan Stevens" during the song rather amusing! Sorry! Lke, how awkward must it have been for him to sign that?!

"What's the sign for 'Sufjan Stevens'?"
"There's none, you're gonna have to finger-spell it"
    "Oh bo**ix!"

Not a criticism at all, no fluent ISL user including myself can finger spell "Sufjan Stevens" during a song without looking awkward! I'm just glad it wasn't me! =)

But it's a great video, kudos to the signer! 🙂

  • @deafcelt Jesus give him a break!! Can't you not simply appreciate the effort he put into this? Don't be so downright negative! Jesus Christ, I am lost for words at how rude you are, your comment is totally disrespectful towards the signer and the society!

  • Although I am a complete stranger to music, I must say it's a good video! A bit catchy too 🙂 Fair dues to the signer!

  • This is a great video! So innovative! I live in Pennsylvania USA and work with children with autism, many of which cannot communicate at all. A program/society like this here in the states would be wonderful to help then enjoy the arts as well as express themselves. Keep up your creatively inspiring work!
