THEIR OLDER SISTER WAS ABLE TO ESCAPE. THE CAUSE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. A LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS GETTING A BIG HONOR FOR HER QUICK THINKING DURING AN EMERGENCY. SHE HELPED FIRST RESPONDERS AND LEN JENNINGS HAS HER STORY. A REMARKABLE STORY. SHE LEARNED SIGN LANGUAGE FROM HER MOTHER. SHE NEVER THOUGHT THE SKILL WOULD LAND HER SO MUCH ATTENTION. THE 10-YEAR-OLD GOT A BIG SURPRISE. EARLIER THIS MONTH, SHE SAW AN AMBULANCE CREW HAVING A WOMAN INJURED IN THE CAR CRASH. THE WOMAN APPEARED TO BE DEAF AND SHE RAN OVER TO HELP THE PARAMEDICS COMMUNICATE WITH HER. I THOUGHT SHE WAS SIGNING SO I DECIDED TO GO HELP AND I WAS NERVOUS. IT WAS AWESOME.
