How To Learn Sign Language

Deaf People Teach Us How To Flirt | Deaf People Tell | Cut

(flaps lips) – [Sign Language Interpreter] Oh, if somebody comes up to me… (upbeat music) – [Sign Language Interpreter]
Nope, I’ve got a girlfriend. She’s deaf. – I’ve never dated a
deaf person, actually. Never dated a deaf person, never
had sex with a deaf person. – [Sign Language Interpreter]
Yes, a few one-night stands. – [Sign Language Interpreter]
Yeah, through a dating app. – [Sign Language Interpreter]
Tell them before, you know, meeting up or whatever that, just to let you know,
I’m deaf, or whatever. If it’s a one-night-stand,
really, you don’t need to talk. I would like a relationship
that’s not just slutty. – [Sign Language Interpreter]
The first thing you want to do is make sure you tap them. So it’s very polite to tap
deaf people on the shoulder. Sometimes if you just say, hey, will you show me some sign language? And do it really flirty and cute-like, that might be a pickup line for me. I would love it if they
brought me over a drink. That might be a great way, and they maybe I’d have pen and paper ready, you know, if they’re able to hear and where you can write back and forth. Some people try way too
hard to flirt and, you know, they think that I’m going
to go for them or something. – [Sign Language Interpreter] Hey baby, do you wanna talk to me? – [Sign Language Interpreter]
I remember one time I went to Starbucks and
I met up with this guy. He was way nervous and I
was just trying to keep cool and be sort of, take it easy
on him and write back and forth and flirt a little bit. – [Sign Language
Interpreter] Yeah, we did. Unfortunately we broke up, but you know, it all worked out in the end. – [Sign Language Interpreter]
Hopefully they can learn a little bit of sign language. I mean, it’s not easy, and it takes time. – I’m always sure I tell the person I’m in a relationship with,
you need to learn some sign, because there are going to be times when I’m just like, huh, huh? I don’t get what you’re saying. – [Sign Language
Interpreter] There was a time when we were cuddling, but
cuddling’s really hard, because I might want to sign, but then when you’re back’s to them, then you can’t see what they’re saying. When he gets a hard-on too,
when you’re trying to cuddle with him, that gets really awkward. (laughs) – [Sign Language Interpreter]
Of course, almost every day! And I flirt with others
every day, I love flirting. – Badly. (laughs) – [Sign Language
Interpreter] Well yes, a few. Hey, when you fell from
heaven, did that hurt? (laughs) Hey, what’s up. Are you McDonald’s, ’cause I’m lovin’ it. – Y’know, is your dad a baker? Because you have nice buns. (woman laughing)
Pop, pop, pop, pop, um… – [Sign Language
Interpreter] I’m really sick of those kinds of pick-up
lines, oh my gosh. I mean, you can just flirt and be yourself and have some conversation
and it could lead to whatever. (music builds to crescendo)
