Chinese Numbers 0-10 with Hand Gestures
September 13, 2019
Dà jiā hǎo! In this video, I’m going to show you how you can count from 0-10 in Chinese with just one hand. Qǐng gēn wǒ shuō. Now it’s always good to come up with ways to remember these words and gestures. Here’s how I remember them: Maybe like some sort of weird bell *ling ling ling ling* Hěn róng yì. There’s only one. Maybe like a pirate with two hooks. “Errrr” There could be a family with three sons. Yī, èr, sān sons. Four slithering snakes. Maybe like the tone, the third tone. We go down and up. Ohh, I want to give Liu a call! Nǐ hǎo, Liù! Nǐ hǎo ma? Mmm wǒ hěn hǎo! Mm bài bai mm. Like a xiǎo niǎo. *Cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep* Looks a little bit like the character when you turn it upside down. And maybe like a gun *bā bā bā* You can think of it like the bottom of the character. Jiǔ, a little hook. Like the cross of the character. Shí, are you sure? I hope that was really helpful for you. If you can think of other ways to remember these characters and hand gestures, let me know. Until next time, Zài jiàn.
