Change the Language on the Control Panel – HP Officejet J4680 All-in-One | HP Officejet | HP


This video explains what to do if the wrong
language is displayed on your printers control panel or if you would like to change the language
that displays on the printer. If the control panel is set to a different
language, you will not be able to navigate through the menus to change it back to English.
Here, we will reset the printer so that you can change the language to one desired.
Reset the printer by first making sure that the printer is turned on. If it is off, press
the power button to turn it on. Disconnect the power cord from the back of
the printer. Wait 30 Seconds.
On the printer control panel, press and hold the pound button and the number three button
while reconnecting the power cord. When the display reads “Part. NVM Reset”,
release the pound and three buttons. When the language selection screen appears,
scroll right or left using the arrow buttons to the desired language. Then press the OK
button. Confirm the language by pressing the number
1 button on the keypad. When the Set Location screen appears, scroll
right or left using the arrow buttons to the proper location. Then press the OK button.
Confirm the location by pressing the number 1 button on the keypad.
The displayed language will now be changed to the desired setting.
This step provides information on how to change the language on your printer from the control
panel. Change the language by first making sure that
the printer is turned on. If the printer is off, press the power button to on the printer.
On the printers control panel, press the Setup button.
Using the arrow buttons, scroll right or left to the Basic Settings option. Then press the
OK button. Again, using the arrow buttons, scroll right
or left to the Set Language option. Then press the OK button.
Scroll with the arrow buttons through the language options until the desired language
is displayed. Press the OK button to select the language.
Confirm the language by pressing the number 1 button on the keypad.
When the Set Language screen appears, scroll right or left using the arrow buttons to the
proper location. Then press the OK button. Confirm the location by pressing the number
1 button on the keypad. The displayed language will now be changed
to the desired setting.
