How To Learn Sign Language

Basic Sign Language Phrases : Spelling With Fingers When Don’t Know Sign Language Word

And today we’re learning to say easy, basic
things to a deaf person in their language. And they’ll appreciate that. And remember,
it’s all basic and simple what we’re learning today. Now we’ve asked somebody how old are
you? Now I’m nineteen years old. To say nineteen. Nineteen. Now he’d say, how old are you. I’m
nineteen. I’m nineteen. If you don’t know how, and get any words you don’t know how
to sign, finger spell then they’ll teach you how to say it. So, nineteen. They’d tell you.
A deaf person would teach you. Nineteen. Nineteen. If you want to learn numbers, that’s another
set of videos. Learn numbers in the alphabet, and you can say anything.

  • @ljparamo, imagine speaking with someone who had a very limited vocabulary, just a few words in English, but mixed them all up the wrong order. Not only that but they spoke very, very slowly. " Eat? … now? is …food! … like …" they might say. It's now your job to try to figure out what they are saying and also look polite and respond. That is what you are asking Deaf people to do when you sign SEE. ASL and English are two different languages with different grammar.

  • how do you finger spell double letters? My name is Gabrielle and when I get to the double L I've just been like… bobbing my hand :p
